Day of Caring - Blood and Supply Drive
Due to COVID-19, United Way of Cumberland County will not be having our usual “Days of Caring” where volunteers help our community impact partners over a three day period with whatever they need. Instead, we reached out to the agencies to see if there was any type of supply drive we could do and the response was overwhelming. They asked for everything from copy paper to toothpaste to blood (yes you read that right). Therefore, on May 14th we are hosting a blood drive and a drive-through supply drive at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church from 10:00 – 3:00 for the community to donate. We are also fortunate to have Chick-fil-a on Ramsey Street donate a portion of their proceeds if you eat there on that Friday or Saturday. We are asking for people/businesses to:
• Have a supply drive at their business (we will pick up the items or they can be brought to Snyder or our office)
•Sign up to give blood and share the blood drive information
•Order food at Chick-fil-a on Ramsey Street every Tuesday in May (4th, 11th, 18th, & 25th) and we can receive up to 20% from food purchases if United Way is mentioned.
•All of the above
