The Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) has been entrusted through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act “to supplement and expand ongoing efforts to provide shelter, food and supportive services” for the nation’s hungry, homeless, and people in economic crisis. The Cumberland County Emergency Food & Shelter Program Local Board will be accepting applications for Phase 28 of the 2010 Emergency Food & Shelter Program funding cycle. These funds are appropriated to supplement and expand existing emergency food and shelter programs in Cumberland County.
